First EVER Blog!

Hello! (Whoops, nearly wrote 'Help!' there! Would have been quite apt actually!)

So, this is my first ever blog post, on my first ever blog! I have to admit, I've been pretty sceptical about blogging in the past, but something about this New Year has made me get itchy feet about starting my own. Perhaps it's because my little one, Boo, has just started Pre-School and I'm looking for something to fill the void while she's there. Or it could be because I do love a rant, especially when I can do it annonymously without boring/insulting my family and friends!

Either way, I'm giving it a go! It may only last a few posts and then I'll get bored, but maybe it will last a bit longer and turn into an actual hobbie!

I'm not usually one for hobbies. Sure, I have interests and things that I enjoy doing, but it's the 'doing them on a regular basis' bit that puts me off and stops me in my track. I don't take to having to do anything. I gave up work as soon as I possibly could (11 weeks before my Boo was due) and can honestly say I have never missed it for even one millisecond. And I often check with my husband, DaddyBear that he'll never send me back to work again!

There is only one job I have ever been interested in, and that is being a Mummy. My own Mum was a SAHM and I always looked up to her and her seemingly leisurely lifestyle, and thought 'Yep, that's the job for me!' I have always adored babies and really could not wait to have my own. But I wanted to be settled in my own home, and married to my perfect man before I did so. And it actually worked out! I met DaddyBear when I was 15, we dated but things got in the way and we broke up. We stayed in touch throughout Uni and got back together at the end of my second year. We moved in with my 'rents after Uni and saved to buy our own place, which we did a couple of years later. We got hitched the following Spring. Got pregnant on our One Year Anniversary. And had our beautiful little Boo just over 2 years ago.

Motherhood was way, way more overwhelming than I had ever expected and I found the first year a real struggle. But every day got easier. We moved house last April to our dream house (it's not fancy or anything, it just has everything we need in a place we adore!) And now Boo has turned 2, is talking literally non-stop, and is more fun than ever, I am so deliriously happy I sometimes have to pinch myself! (And check again with DaddyBear that I'll never have to go back to the horrors of the workplace!)

So I think that is what appealed to me about writing a Blog- I can do it when I like and Blab on about my Boo as much as I want! I also really enjoy reading other people's blogs and know a few people who have been really successful with it! So here I go, welcome to my world! (I hope I don't bore you rigid!)
