I have been nominated by Caroline @BecomingaSAHM to take part in #BlogYourHeartOut and thought that today would be a good day to to it, in celebration of my 1 Month Birthday!
What/Who encouraged you to start blogging?
I seemed to be posting stuff on Facebook way too often for my liking, and putting my opinions out there for friends and family to see- which they often didn't agree with and it would start an unintentional debate (row!). I have very strong opinions on lots of things, but I don't like causing arguments because of them so I thought I would start a secret blog (that not even my husband knows about!) as an avenue for my venting! My friend @Baillie_MyLife had encouraged me to blog in the past, when I was on Mat leave, but I didn't have the energy for it then. She gave me great advice on starting out as a new blogger! Thanks Alice! Also my best friend has a very successful Book blog, which has landed her a new fab dream job! So seeing other's blog successfully was also a big inspiration.
How did you choose what topics to blog about?
As I said, I am pretty opinionated, so I've so far just been blogging about the things I am passionate about. I've also started to join in with @Lollinski and @FamilyFever 's weekly #TriedTested Linky, to practice Review writing- just writing about products that I love.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I suffer from Koumpounaphobia. It's a real, but unusual fear- Google it!
What three words describe your style?
Of writing? Light-hearted, passionate, story-telling.
What do you like to do when you aren’t blogging?
Play dressing up, painting, chasing, snuggling, swimming, singing, reading with my gorgeous Boo! Watch crap telly. Catch up with friends (managing to do that a lot more this year!) Lust after One Direction, particularly Louis! (Have seen them 3 times and going again in June! I know, I'm too cool!) Spend time with my family. Explore our beautiful village and surrounding countryside. Occasionally running- though not been this year as I don't want to get blown away! I like making my house lovely- we've had a lot of work done and still have a bit to do, but I like being creative with space and making it a home.
