Bean's Nursery!

So with 8 weeks to go we're pretty much there with Bean's nursery, and I'm thrilled with it! So I thought I'd share a few snaps!

It took me ages to decide how to decorate it. It's a small room so it needed to be light. In the end I decided I wanted to create a really bright, fun room- a proper kid's room. I'm not a fan of neutral, magnolia nurseries, all beige and cream with pastel touches- babies can't tell colours apart for the first few months, especially when they're all similar shades. I wanted something bold.

We used brilliant white on 3 of the walls, and Habitat Banana yellow as a feature wall.
I painted the faded wall cupboards in brilliant white gloss, and the wardrobe in my favourite blackboard paint from Wilko's, and added some funky mix and match door knobs from ebay and Not on the High Street- which I am in love with!

I got some great wall stickers from Zulily and some co-ordinating hot air balloon bunting in the shop at Paultons Park, of all places!
A fab yellow mirror, colourful Bug mobile and bright storage boxes from Ikea.
I found a beaut 'somewhere over the rainbow' changing mat on Amazon and the perfect rainbow star blackout curtains from Great Little Trading Co.

There's still a few little jobs to do but the main things are done and I've even finished washing all her clothes ready- which Boo has thoroughly enjoyed helping me with!

It's all starting to feel very real!!!

Can't wait now to add the finishing piece; our baby girl.

Thanks for reading,
